5Dylanesque Is A Shining Moment in Bryan Ferry's career

By Roy A. Harper

As a long-time and zealous fan of Roxy Music and Bryan Ferry, we have to acknowledge that we was a bit doubtful of a suspicion of Bryan Ferry doing a whole manuscript of Dylan music. But - his interpetations of any strain is shining !! Ferry puts his heart and essence into any song. On this video, it is apparent that he is 'into' it. He plays some-more harmonica than we have ever seen before, and is 'soulful'. His brief narratives about Bob Dylan and a strain is only adequate to be a gratifying addition but holding divided from his performances of a music. The piano personification of Colin Good is unmatched in a excellance, and it's good to see Roxy 'member' Andy Newmark on drums. The band, overall, is parsimonious and any chronicle of Dylan's songs, actually, improves rather on a originals !!
Bryan Ferry is glorious in his vocals. we consider he could, actually, do an manuscript of anyone's strain and urge on it !! A good instance of that is a Roxy Music chronicle of John Lennon's 'Jealous Guy'. While we am a large Beatles fan, Bryan Ferry's "Jealous Guy" gave it some-more 'soul' than Lennon.
Overall, this DVD is a fun to watch, and proves that Bryan Ferry is one of a many under-rated artists of a time !

5Get both...

By Martin Miller

I would rarely suggest removing both this DVD and a CD, as we did, given a latter will raise your delight of a former. we could be a bit inequitable though, given I've been a Ferry (and Roxy Music) fan for good over 30 years (and comparatively recently had independenty re-discovered Dylan's physique of work).
