Natalie Strawn of Omaha, Neb., had struggled with her weight given childhood.
"I was a vexed child flourishing up, so we used food as comfort," Strawn, 20, told "I didn't have any friends though we had food, so we ate.
"I would make nachos and we would take half a can to a whole can of refried beans, a whole bag of chips, whole bruise bag of cheese and douse it in plantation sauce and that would be my breakfast," she pronounced of her standard eating routine.
By sixth-grade, Strawn weighed 333 pounds, and as her weight increased, so did a bullying during a hands of her classmates.
"I would hear 'tub of lard,' we would be mooed at, that was what harm a most, being mooed during when we walked down a hallways. I'd be called Shamu [the whale] if we was swimming during a internal pool in a summertime. ⦠we was bullied so bad. ⦠we started being home scholastic and when we incited 16, we forsaken out and motionless to get my GED," she said.
By age 17, Strawn weighed some-more than 550 pounds. She had problem walking, and couldn't learn to expostulate since she couldn't fit behind a circle of a car.
"When you're 562 pounds, they don't make cars for people that size," Strawn said.
Finally, she motionless that she had missed out on enough. Determined to change her life, she assimilated Weight Watchers. She attended weekly meetings, set small, 5-pound goals and chronicled her swell online in a video blog.
"The thing we like about a devise I'm doing is a leisure and coherence it gives me," Strawn pronounced of her success with Weight Watchers. "There's no food that's off boundary so we can eat fundamentally whatever we want. we only have to watch a apportionment control."
Strawn also began to exercise, something she says was roughly unfit during first.
"It wasn't until we mislaid about 100 pounds that we could start exercising," she told "GMA." "I started doing chair gymnastics and it was 18 mins prolonged and it was a longest 18 mins of my life. The initial time we did it we was so out of exhale and we was soaked in sweat."
In a march of 3 years, she mislaid 282 pounds and, today, is distant private from both a practice restrictions she faced, and a distance 44 jeans she used to wear.
"Now we walk, we do a 2-mile DVD practice each day," Strawn said.
Despite already losing some-more than her physique weight, Strawn says, she'd like remove another 100 pounds.
"My dream weight is 168," she said, adding that 382 pounds is a sum volume of weight she'd like to lose.
Helping Strawn grasp her idea in a past 3 years has been her mom, Rita, who has been on a weight-loss tour of her own, losing scarcely 100 pounds herself.
"My mom, and I'm determined," Strawn told "GMA" of a dual sources where she finds a strength to continue her weight-loss journey.
She also hopes her story is an instance to others struggling with their weight as she once did.
"I don't like things that are hard, so if we can do it, anyone can do it," she said. "I'm determined.
