From Booklist
There are many books about frightful monsters, though in this sharp-witted bilingual design book, a toddler indeed becomes a frightful beast when he has a rage tantrum. Kids will commend how he enjoys toppling skyscrapers and crashing cars on his bedroom building and afterwards refuses to go to bed. He snuffles and screeches, grunts and twitches. And a line-and-colored-pencil cinema uncover all a transformations as a boy’s hair grows, a tail sprouts, and pointy nails poke from his fingertips. The mad movement in a bilingual difference is fun (English appears in black form on a tip of a page; Spanish is in red form during a bottom), and so are a mad images. Then Dad scoops adult a squirming beast and kindly rocks him, tail and all, as Mama sings a soothing lullaby. The final pages move a friendly ending, and there is a devious final stage as Dad remembers being a small beast himself, and he grows a tail. A glossary of both Spanish and English difference is included. Preschool-Grade 1. --Hazel Rochman
