LONDON, Dec 15 (Reuters) - Former Spanish Formula One
driver Luis Perez-Sala was named on Thursday as a replacement
for HRT group principal Kolin Kolles.
Kolles, a Germany-based Romanian, had led the
financially-strapped Spanish group given they done their Formula
One entrance final year. His depart was announced on Wednesday.
"With a fixing of Luis Perez-Sala during a front of a team,
HRT F1 group closes one section and starts a new one, that will
hopefully come with new successes and satisfactions," HRT said
in a statement.
Perez-Sala, 52, finished dual seasons for Minardi, achieving
his best outcome during a 1989 British Grand Prix when he finished
sixth.
"We contingency be studious and keep in mind that we can't expect
to grasp good success in a brief term," he said.
"But we can take a group brazen that we can still feel proud
of. The elementary fact that Spain has a group during a apex of
motor sports is already a good feat."
